ISO/IEC 27001:2022 ISMS Certificate

ISO 27001 is the international standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and was created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to help companies, institutions and organizations establish and maintain information security management systems. This standard provides guidance on information asset protection, risk management, continuous improvement and compliance.

Fırat University IT Department was first awarded the ISO 27001:2013 Information Security Management System (ISMS) Certificate on February 2, 2023.

Following the publication of the 27001:2002 standard of the 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), our information systems were adapted to the new standards and as a result of independent audits, our institution was entitled to receive the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certificate on 07.03.2024.
